Museum and at a parking area on the battlefield.

Park Service or Virginia State Park System?
A: New Market Battlefield State Historical Park is owned
by the Commonwealth of Virginia and administered through the Virginia

Q: Does the Park have a museum store?
A: One of the best in the Valley! You will find a wide
variety of items relating to the 19th century military and civilian life--
many items have been developed based on items from the collection. All
proceeds support the Parks's mission of heritage preservation and education.
Q: Are pets permitted in the Park?
A:Pets are welcome at the park provided they do not disturb other visitors or the animals who call our park their home. Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed six (6) feet and under the owner’s control at all times. Pets are not permitted on guided tours or other staff-led programs. Owners are required to clean up after their pets. “Mutt Mitt” pet waste stations can be found at three locations on the park grounds to assist you. Pets are not permitted on Park property during the annual Battle of New Market Reenactment.
